- AboutMembership in KC Area Credit Union requires the following eligibility guidelines: Employees, current and retired, of the city, state, local and federal government who work in offices in the following counties are all eligible: Johnson County, Kansas Wyandotte County, Kansas Jackson County, Missouri Clay County, Missouri All other Credit Unions chartered in the State of Missouri are eligible. Spouses, children, brothers, sisters, parents and grandchildren of such members, current or retired are also eligible. Any person who is employed in the following buildings is also eligible to join us: The Richard A. Bolling Federal Building located at 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, MO The DOT office building located at 901 Locust, Kansas City, MO The U.S. Federal Courthouse at 400 E. Ninth Street, Kansas All accounts are federally insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA. Transactions may be conducted in person at either of our offices Monday-Friday (federal holidays excluded) and many transactions may be handled by email or account internet access. Withdrawals can also be conducted without a transaction fee at our ATM machine located on the lobby of the DOT building at Ninth and Locust streets.
