Please let KCACU know when traveling so that we can notify Shazam of locations where your card may be used outside of your normal spending patterns.
In order to control fraudulent card usage we have partnered with Shazam to identify states and merchant types where fraud is the most prevalent.
Cardholders should be able to conduct most PIN-based transactions wherever they travel— using a PIN allows for an additional level of security.
We have added more stringent fraud protection on transactions from the following states:
- California
- Connecticut
- Florida
- Illinois
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Texas
In particular, when dining while travelling, please remember that unless a PIN can be entered, the transaction may be declined due to fraud controls in place.
